Families will love this spot!
The owner, Liz, was very nice, getting up at 6:30 to whip us up breakfast before our early ferry. And there was this lovely pub down the street for dinner, the Olderfleet, where the food was surprisingly good, a real treasure after a long day.
Sure, it wasn’t inexpensive, but honestly, worth every penny.

I enjoyed my stay at Harbour Inn. The owner, Liz, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She prepared breakfast for us at 6:30am since we needed to catch an early ferry. The breakfast itself was delicious, offering a cooked meal that satisfied our hunger. The location couldn't be better, just a short drive to the ferry terminal. It made our travel so convenient. I faced a few issues. The room I stayed in had no elevator access, which was tough with heavy luggage and on the upper floor. The noise from the ferry port was disruptive at night, making it difficult to sleep. The shower temperature was inconsistent, causing frustration during my morning routine. Despite these inconveniences, the overall hospitality made a positive impact on my stay.

missingWrote a review on 14 Aprferry accesshearty breakfastinflexible check-in
Excellent location near ferry access, ideal for early departures. The breakfast spread offered plenty of choices, with hearty options that satisfied morning appetites.
It seems the check-in policy is inflexible. Arriving late can lock you out completely, which may not work for travelers with changing schedules. Some rooms are tucked away on upper floors without lift access, so be prepared for a few flights of stairs. Noise from the nearby ferry port can make it tough to catch some Z's, especially if you're sensitive to disturbances at night. The showers can be a bit temperamental, alternating between hot and cold water unexpectedly, which isn't the best way to wash off the day’s adventures. If you're a tea enthusiast, watch out for the subpar quality of the tea bags provided, and getting extra milk or sugar might feel like a hassle.
